About Us

A place to slow down and find meaning

Drops of Jupiter began as a search for calm.

Founded in late 2021, at the end of the global lockdowns, the brand was born from a deeply personal moment. After moving to Canada from South Africa, founder Michelle Kaye found herself in a new country, disconnected from familiarity, searching for grounding, identity, and a sense of belonging. Crystals became a way to reconnect, to quiet the noise of the world, and to return to something steady and meaningful.

What started as a personal practice soon grew into something shared.

The Journey

Drops of Jupiter has always lived online. From the very beginning, it was built in real time, through conversations, live sales, and genuine connection. When Michelle relocated from Durban, South Africa to Winnipeg in 2016, the move marked the start of a new chapter, one that came with both opportunity and uncertainty.

By late 2021, as the world was emerging from lockdowns, Drops of Jupiter officially came to life. What began as a deeply personal search for grounding and meaning slowly evolved into a shared experience, attracting a growing community who resonated with the stories, the stones, and the sense of belonging.

Over the past four and a half years, the business has grown steadily and intentionally. While the community has expanded, the heart of Drops of Jupiter has remained unchanged. We continue to show up consistently, source with care, and put people first, just as we did on day one.

A Family-Run Business, Always

We are proudly family-run and operated day to day by our founders.

Michelle and her husband, Mark Kaye, handle everything personally, from sourcing and logistics to live sales and customer care. Michelle’s children are also involved in the business, making Drops of Jupiter not just a brand, but a shared family effort.

If you have joined a live sale, you have likely met us already!

Our Sourcing Philosophy

Every piece at Drops of Jupiter is chosen with intention. We don’t buy in bulk and we don’t source blindly. Instead, we travel, attend international gem shows, and take the time to hand select each crystal, mineral, and fossil ourselves.

Over the years, we have built strong, long-term relationships with miners, cutters, and suppliers around the world. We care about where our pieces come from, who is involved in bringing them to us, and how they are handled along the way. Quality has always come first, but fairness matters just as much. We work hard to offer beautiful, high-quality pieces at accessible prices while still being respectful and fair to the people who source them.

What makes Drops of Jupiter different is the connection behind each stone. We learn the stories, we ask questions, and we choose pieces that feel right, not just ones that sell quickly. That care and intention carries through to our live sales, where we share not only the crystals themselves, but the journey they took to get here.

What We Are Known For

If you ask our community what stands out about Drops of Jupiter, the answers tend to sound a lot like who we are. We are often told that people appreciate our work ethic, our consistency, and the way we show up, live after live, week after week.

Storytelling is a big part of what we do. During our live sales, we don’t just show pieces, we share where they come from, why they matter, and what drew us to them in the first place. That openness, combined with our down-to-earth approach, has helped build a space that feels welcoming rather than intimidating.

We are also known for offering high-quality and often rare pieces at prices that feel fair. We take pride in listening to what our customers are looking for and doing our best to find it for them. Above all, we aim to put people first. The crystals matter, but the relationships matter more.

Community First, Always

To us, customers are not numbers.

More than 90 percent of our community has been with us since the early days. Live sales are not just about selling, but about connection. They give our community a window into our business, our family, and our lives.

Transparency, trust, fairness, education, and accessibility guide every decision we make

Looking Ahead

Drops of Jupiter continues to grow thoughtfully.

While we plan to expand onto new platforms and reach new customers, we remain committed to staying grounded, personal, and family-run. Our goal is not to become a faceless corporation, but to build something lasting. A legacy rooted in integrity, quality, and connection.
